Terms of Service

DCP OK is a small independent service operated from the Netherlands. These terms are written to be read, not to trap anyone — if anything is unclear, just ask.

The free checker

The checker is provided free of charge, as-is. It is a browser preflight: it helps you catch common problems before you submit, but it is not festival approval, not a guarantee of acceptance, and not a substitute for a full cinema QC pass on real projection hardware. Final responsibility for your submission stays with you, and to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for rejections, losses, or damages arising from its use.

Hand-built DCPs (the paid service)

• You get a downloadable DCP built from your master, plus its validation report from this checker. Prices shown (€29 per short film, €19 for students) are the total price.
• Usually delivered the next day — never more than 3 days after we receive your film.
• You pay when it's ready, via a payment link. If we can't deliver a DCP that passes these checks, you pay nothing.
• Short films under 15 minutes, one film per build.
• We send you a private upload link and delete your files after delivery.

You must hold the rights to any film you send us. Your film stays yours: we claim no rights to it beyond what's needed to produce and deliver your DCP.

The boring parts

Don't misuse the service (attempting to disrupt it, or sending material you have no right to send). We may update these terms; the date above tells you when we last did. Dutch law applies.
